Ian will discuss the scope of DXing from the illustrious DXCC Honour Roll to setting personal challenges with limited resources, illustrated by his progress during 50+ years on the air on most bands from 160m to 23 cms using from 1 watt to a big linear and from zepps to beams

The History of Amateur Radio

It would be great to have a home-brewed paragraph or two here about the history of amateur radio. However, there is a fantastic resource here that explains it all in great detail.

 

It's an Anglo / French website and contains a wealth of information about the subject and a comprehensive history of the amateur service since the invention of radio itself.
